Last year, Playtech and Rank Group inked a deal where the software group's Neon casino management system would be implemented across Rank's Grosvenor casino estate.
It was recently announced that Rank Group and Playtech have extended their deal.
Under the terms of the new agreement, Playtech will implement its Neon Slots system to manage Rank's 3,000 electronic gaming machines at the 54 casinos in the United Kingdom in the Grosevenor Casinos estate.
Playtech's Neon Tables iPad application will also be implemented to cover the 650 gaming tables in the casinos.
Major Achievement for Playtech
The Neon System was developed by Playtech's subsidiary, IGS and also features the Neon Analytics business intelligence platform.
The managing director of IGS, said that the initial roll out of the Neon System was a major achievement and added that he was positive that no other system supplier could have achieved what Playtech and Rank had achieved in 2016.
"We developed new features, optimized Neon for deployment in the cloud, provided numerous integrations and supported the transition from the legacy systems, keeping data in step as we implemented the 54 sites," he explained.
Rank Group Describes Successful Project
According to Grosvenor Casinos director of finance, Richard Payle, the project to replace the group's management systems was "very successful."
"We worked as a team to address a wide range of technical challenges and business innovations and have successfully rolled out a system which is performing well across the estate, and meeting our business and technical goals," he said.
Payle said that migrating Rank's gaming systems to Playtech would enable the group to complete its modernization, offer an improved player experience and complete its vision for a single account and wallet across its retail and digital businesses.
