Gambling In Thailand
The gambling that Thai citizens can legally partake in includes horse racing and the national lottery, which means all casino, bingo, sports betting and poker facilities and games are forbidden by the government. However, Thailand boasts a thriving 'underground' gambling industry, in which up to 70 percent of all Thai adults are thought to regularly participate.
Prior to 2003, horse racing was the only form of gambling permitted in Thailand.
