Land gambling is strictly controlled in the Southeast Asian country of Thailand, where citizens are only permitted to gamble on horse racing and the national lottery. As such, Thai authorities do not permit Thai online casinos or any other forms of online gambling in the country. That said, there are currently no measures in place to prevent Thai online casino fans from gambling at online gambling sites hosted and operated offshore.

Gambling In Thailand
The gambling that Thai citizens can legally partake in includes horse racing and the national lottery, which means all casino, bingo, sports betting and poker facilities and games are forbidden by the government. However, Thailand boasts a thriving 'underground' gambling industry, in which up to 70 percent of all Thai adults are thought to regularly participate.
Prior to 2003, horse racing was the only form of gambling permitted in Thailand. But in an attempt to combat a growing underground lottery, Thai authorities launched a national lottery that same year. In 2006, however, government officials were accused of stealing over $1 billion from the lottery coffers.
Online Gambling In Thailand
Given the land gambling situation in Thailand, it is not in the least surprising that online gambling is strictly prohibited in the nation, with no indication of being regulated anytime soon. But although Thai online casinos do not exist, Thai authorities do not have any measures in place to stop Thai online gambling fans from playing at foreign sites.
However, while many online casinos are happy to accept players from Thailand, few if any offer Thai language versions. But as long as Thai players are fluent in a more mainstream language and can make deposits using a U.S. dollar, GB pounds or euro-friendly payment method, they are more than welcome to gamble online.
