Online gambling is regulated in the South American country of Venezuela. Up until now just three licenses have been issued for Venezuelan online casinos. Two were granted to local firms that host English language casinos from Margarita Island, although these are only open to foreign players. However, the third license was issued to a firm that hosts an online casino in the Netherlands Antilles, which is open to Venezuelans.

Gambling In Venezuela
Although gambling is allowed and is very popular in Venezuela, it is tightly controlled by the government. In fact, apart from the national lottery and a few bingo halls, all other forms of gambling must take place in a handful of land casinos in the country - including all table and slot games, sports betting and poker games and tournaments.
All gambling in Venezuela is overseen by the country's National Committee for Casinos, Slots and Bingo Halls, which according to recent reports, is unlikely to grant any more licenses for casinos or bingo halls any time soon. This means Venezuela's gambling industry is unlikely to grow much bigger than it is at the moment.
Online Gambling In Venezuela
Venezuela is one of only a few countries in South America that has regulated online gambling, which is fortunate for Venezuelan online casino fans. However, to date only three online casino licenses have been issued, and of those, only one accepts Venezuelans.
The good news, however, is that Venezuelan online gambling fans are welcome to play at any offshore operated online casinos that will have them, and there are many. In fact, most foreign online casinos that have Spanish sites welcome Venezuelans, and many even offer 'Venezuelan-friendly' methods of deposit such as Skrill, credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, Entropay and Click2Pay.
